CANON'S NEW IF-XS SERIES ENHANCES RANGE

WITH conventional Canon ENG/EFP lenses like the J9aX5.2B established as firm favourites with cameramen the world over, most of them would think very carefully before changing to anything else.
So why the new IF-XS series, with its revolutionary new optical element and operating system?
The answers become apparent when you compare the new IF-XS series J11aX4.5B with the more conventional J9aX5.2B. It has 16 per cent more wide angle (93.6 degrees in16:9) and an extra 2X zoom ratio in a lens which is 5 per cent lighter and 13mm shorter. Similarly, using the new IF-XS technology, the J21aX7.8B and the J16aX8B offer improved specifications within more compact dimensions and lighter weight than their more conventional counterparts, the J20aX8B and the J15aX8B.
Also these new IF-XS lenses have the added features of a new digital drive servo system and an optional clutchless zoom control.
