Pyser-SGI introduces new Fujinon Cine Super E series prime lenses

Featuring large barrel size, 280 degrees of focus rotation, plus fine optical performance, the new lenses offer filmmakers all the versatility and creativity required for shooting digital cinema productions for the big screen, say Pyser-SGI.
The Fujinon Cine Super E series now comprises eight fixed focal length prime lenses and four zooms. The new prime lenses are the HAeF12, HAeF16, HAeF20, HAeF34, HAeF40 and HAeF54. All six models have a front end diameter of 95 mm and a length of 144 mm. Minimal 'breathing' while focusing and distortion free edge-to-edge sharpness set new standards for digital imaging. Also, the large focus rotation of 280 degrees for precise focus follow compares very favourably with the standard 144.5 degree rotation of other cine style lenses.
The Cine Super E series are specifically designed to work with the latest high definition video cameras. They feature large, bright markings for zoom, focus and iris, and cine compatible gearing for interfacing with existing cine controls and matte boxes. The lenses meet every optical performance requirement for moviemaking, such as reduced fluctuation in angular field of view during focusing and a short minimum object distance (MOD).
The large aperture of the lenses provides a bright iris rated at T1.5 (T1.6 for the HAeF54).
Commenting on the new prime lenses, Stefan Czich, Sales Manager of the Broadcast Products Division, Pyser-SGI, said: "Fujinon's Cine Super E series have been designed to meet the present and future needs of the movie industry as digital cinema productions continue to grow. There is now no reason why HD video should not be used for the big screen".
