Clear-Com Underpins Rock In Rio 2026 Communications

Clear-Com played a pivotal role in the communications backbone for Rock in Rio 2026, one of the world's largest and most recognised music festivals.

With multiple stages, major international and Brazilian artists, and a live broadcast reaching global audiences, the event required communications technology capable of operating reliably at exceptional scale.

The deployment was delivered with the support of Savana Comunicação Ltd., Clear-Com's partner in Brazil, which helped implement and maintain the event’s communications infrastructure.

For the 2026 edition, Clear-Com solutions connected production teams across the site while providing a seamless bridge between the festival and TV Globo’s broadcast facilities.

The set-up comprised four Arcadia Central Station systems supporting approximately 50 wireless FreeSpeak II and FreeSpeak Icon beltpacks. A combination of E1 and IP-connected FreeSpeak transceivers delivered wireless coverage across production areas, giving crews the mobility and flexibility required to coordinate a large-scale, multi-stage live show.

A standout element was the integration of the on-site communications with TV Globo’s broadcast operation. The Arcadia systems were linked via Dante over a dedicated network to the broadcaster’s facilities, enabling audio connectivity between the festival's Arcadia systems and Clear-Com Eclipse matrix infrastructure.

This unified environment allowed on-site production and broadcast teams to coordinate more efficiently between the live event and television output. Multishow, a TV channel operated by Globo, broadcast the performances live.
