Skyline Communications and Bridge Technologies Showcase Autonomous Broadcast Workflows at IBC 2026
Skyline Communications and Bridge Technologies will highlight the latest development of their technology partnership at IBC 2026, featuring systems designed to replace traditional monitoring and alerting with automated workflow detection, decision-making, and execution.
"For years, our partnership with Bridge Technologies has been about giving operators deeper visibility into complex media environments," said Thomas Gunkel, Market Director Broadcast at Skyline Communications. "What we are showing at IBC 2026 is the next logical step: using that visibility to trigger intelligent, automated workflows that help operations teams move faster, reduce risk, and maintain service quality with less manual effort."
The companies will present two complementary innovations: an automated AV synchronization workflow that combines Bridge Technologies VB440 measurement intelligence with DataMiner's orchestration and automation capabilities, and a new generation of DataMiner Apps that enable organizations to rapidly create purpose-built applications tailored to their unique operational workflows.
From operational insight to automated action
The centerpiece of the demonstration is a real-world AV synchronization workflow built around Bridge Technologies' brand-new VB440 AV synchronization feature, which measures audio and video delay with high precision and exposes that information through open APIs. In remote production environments, AV sync delay is not an exception but an inherent operational reality that teams need to measure, manage, and compensate for reliably.
DataMiner receives this AV sync intelligence and uses it to automatically orchestrate the required corrective workflow. "Instead of requiring operators to manually identify the AV sync delays, reroute the signal, configure a processing device, apply the correct delay, and verify the result, DataMiner can dynamically loop in a third-party AV processor, apply the required compensation, and validate the outcome," said Simen K. Frostad, Chairman at Bridge Technologies. "Bridge Technologies provides the measurement intelligence. DataMiner provides the orchestration layer that turns that intelligence into action. Together, this creates a powerful example of how integration can help broadcasters build more adaptive and resilient operational environments."
AI-assisted applications for faster operational innovation
Alongside the AV sync workflow, Skyline will also demonstrate a new generation of DataMiner Apps. DataMiner Apps enable organizations to rapidly create purpose-built applications tailored to their unique operational workflows. By leveraging AI-assisted application development, customers can move from concept to production in a fraction of the time traditionally required, while maintaining full flexibility and control over the user experience.
"To showcase DataMiner Apps in action, our team has rebuilt the existing Bridge Technologies VB330 and VB440 applications as purpose-built operational apps. The new implementation shows how AI-assisted application development can help teams create richer, highly tailored user experiences faster while preserving the flexibility customers already expect from DataMiner," said Thomas Gunkel.

Meet Skyline Communications (1.B40) and Bridge Technologies (1.A71) at IBC 2026 to witness the joint demonstrations of the automated AV sync workflow and the new DataMiner Apps for Bridge Technologies probes.
The joint showcase comes at a fitting moment for Skyline Communications, which has also been nominated for a Bridge Technologies Partner Award. "The nomination reflects the strength of the long-standing collaboration between our companies and our shared commitment to helping broadcasters simplify operations, improve service quality, and accelerate innovation," said Frostad.
