Appear Targets Live Production Leadership At NAB Show 2026
Appear ASA is set to highlight its growing influence in live production technology at NAB Show 2026, as the company builds on strong business momentum following its IPO late last year.
The Oslo-based firm will use the Las Vegas event, taking place from April 19–22, to demonstrate how its solutions are enabling broadcasters and media companies to modernise workflows and deliver high-value live sports content. The showcase comes as Appear continues its global expansion strategy after going public in November 2025.
At the centre of its NAB presence will be a focus on three key industry trends shaping the future of live production: satellite-to-IP migration, REMI (remote integration) and distributed production, and unified workflows spanning edge, hardware, and cloud environments.
"Our customer-first approach is built into the DNA of Appear," said Thomas Bostrøm Jørgensen, CEO, Appear. "We are fortunate to work with industry leaders like NBCUniversal, YouTube, LaLiga, PSSI and a whole host of others that encourage us to push the boundaries of what’s possible in demanding live event production and processing. These close relationships directly shape our focus, and Appear technology continues to be the first choice for delivering high-value content at scale. We see exciting opportunities ahead as we continue to expand our footprint and capabilities."
One of the primary areas of focus will be the industry’s transition from traditional satellite distribution to IP-based delivery. Appear will showcase its X Platform, designed to support high-capacity, low-latency media processing and gateway functions. The platform has already been deployed in major projects, including with NBCUniversal, where it enabled increased processing density and more flexible workflows.
The company will also demonstrate how its technology supports REMI and distributed production models, which are increasingly being adopted by sports leagues and broadcasters seeking to reduce costs while scaling live event coverage. Appear’s solutions enable reliable video transport with precise timing and synchronisation across a range of formats, including AVC, HEVC, and JPEG XS.
In addition, Appear will highlight the growing role of virtualisation and cloud integration in live production. Its approach enables broadcasters to operate a single, cohesive workflow across on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments, balancing performance and scalability.
Alongside its hardware solutions, Appear will present its VX Media Gateway, a cloud-ready software platform designed to extend media processing capabilities into datacentre and cloud-based environments, supporting hybrid production models.
"Appear comes to NAB Show 2026 in the middle of a period of sustained growth, particularly in the North American region," said Ed McGivern, President & General Manager, Appear US. "Visitors to our booth will see how our customer-focused innovation is driving success, helping sports leagues, federations, broadcasters and service providers to modernise their workflows and keep pace with audience demand."
Appear will be exhibiting at Booth W1531 during NAB Show 2026, where it will host live demonstrations of its latest technologies.
