PLASA And LIVE Green Launch 2026 Sustainability Survey
PLASA has partnered with LIVE Green to launch its 2026 Sustainability Survey, aimed at assessing awareness, attitudes and action on sustainability and carbon emissions reduction across the entertainment and events technology sector.
Launched today, the survey will examine the live music industry's progress towards sustainability and net zero, exploring the priorities of industry professionals, the measures already being implemented by organisations and the factors driving change.
The findings will be analysed and compiled into a publicly available report, scheduled for publication in January 2027.
Ross Patel, LIVE Green Impact Consultant at LIVE, said: "We are proud to be collaborating with PLASA on their annual sustainability sector survey. We want to enable all in the live music industry to commit to climate action by providing the necessary support, resources, and advice. This survey will give those in our industry a clear view of the progress being made, while identifying and addressing obstacles to accelerating action."
Phoebe Currie, Sustainability Consultant, at PLASA said: "This survey will give us a holistic view of where our industry stands on sustainability: the attitudes shaping people’s thinking, the actions being taken across the supply chain, and the achievements we can build on. From manufacturers and rental companies to production crews and freelance technicians, everyone working in live events has a part to play in reducing our impact. We’re delighted to be partnering with LIVE Green, and we’d encourage as many people as possible to take part. The more voices we hear, the clearer the picture of what’s working and where the industry needs to go next."
The survey is open to industry professionals across the live events supply chain, including manufacturers, rental companies, production crews and freelance technicians. Responses will be anonymous, allowing participants to share their perspectives on current practices, challenges and opportunities for improvement.
The survey will close on 18 November 2026, with industry members encouraged to participate to help build a comprehensive picture of sustainability progress and identify areas requiring further action.
