Genelec Brings Full Broadcast Monitoring Range To IBC 2026
Genelec, a global leader in professional loudspeaker systems, will showcase an extensive line-up of broadcast monitoring solutions at IBC 2026, taking place from 11–14 September in Amsterdam. Visitors can experience the latest monitoring technologies indoors in Room 10.E106 (Hall 10) and outdoors aboard the 120dB OB Truck (0.A40), highlighting how consistent, reference-quality monitoring can be achieved across studio, mobile and live broadcast environments.
The indoor setup centres on a powerful 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos configuration featuring Genelec’s latest 8380A SAM Main Monitors, complemented by The Ones coaxial point-source monitors and dual subwoofers. Engineered for precise localisation, exceptional clarity and full-range reproduction, the system demonstrates Genelec’s approach to immersive audio monitoring for contemporary broadcast, post and live production.
Genelec will also show how its UNIO Audio Monitoring Ecosystem helps engineers and creators maintain one trusted reference across locations and workflows. UNIO blends Smart Active Monitoring (SAM) technology, GLM 5 loudspeaker management software, the 9320A SAM Reference Controller and Aural ID binaural virtual monitoring into a seamless end-to-end workflow.
For Audio over IP applications, UNIO now incorporates the 9401A (Ravenna) and 9402A (Dante) system management devices, enabling flexible connectivity and centralised control, and ensuring smooth integration of Genelec Smart Active Monitoring systems within demanding broadcast environments.
Extending the experience into a real-world setting, the 120dB OB Truck will host a fully operational Dolby Atmos mobile recording and broadcast facility equipped with Genelec monitoring. Daily demonstrations will be led by the 120dB production team in collaboration with Genelec specialists.
Managing Director Siamäk Naghian said: "Broadcast production continues to evolve rapidly, requiring professionals to work seamlessly between fixed facilities, remote production environments and mobile workflows. What remains constant is the need for an accurate, reliable monitoring reference. At IBC 2026, we are demonstrating how Genelec's monitoring ecosystem enables professionals to maintain that reference throughout the entire production chain, from studio to OB truck and beyond."
Genelec will host a daily Happy Hour at 5:00 PM from 11–13 September in Room 10.E106, offering a chance to meet the team and discuss the latest developments in professional monitoring.
Visitors can register for IBC 2026 free of charge at reg.ibc.org/ using Genelec’s customer code IBC1141.
