During the Pope's recent visit to Spain, a week of liturgical ceremonies, public appearances and official engagements demanded impeccable audio performance across every setting.

To serve both the on-site congregations and viewers worldwide, the production turned to professional wireless solutions from Wisycom and precision microphones from DPA Microphones — both distributed in Spain by SeeSound. The closing stages of the visit took the production to Gran Canaria and Tenerife, where engineers navigated challenging RF environments and complex frequency coordination. Hi Vision, which handled the broadcast for local television across the Canary Islands, anchored coverage on a Wisycom wireless ecosystem centred around MCR54 Multichannel Receivers, MTP60 Bodypack Transmitters and MTH610 Handheld Transmitters. The set-up also incorporated the RPU500 Full Duplex Reporter System, along with MTK982 In-ear Transmitters and MPR60 Receivers to meet monitoring needs across the venues.

According to Torres: "The system was selected for its ability to deliver dependable RF performance while supporting the flexibility required for a production to operate across multiple venues and changing environments. Stable wireless operation was essential, not only for live speeches, but also for the coordinated production workflows that took place behind the scenes."

Speech capture was equally critical, especially during ceremonies where every word mattered. For the Pope's addresses, the production employed DPA’s 4098 Gooseneck Microphones, designed for spoken-word applications where intelligibility is paramount. Strong immunity to RF interference also makes the 4098 well suited to dense broadcast environments.
