SubtitleNEXT Unveils AI Transcription Integrations

News Image
SubtitleNEXT will showcase a series of new AI transcription integrations and workflow enhancements at IBC2026, as Profuz Digital highlights the latest developments to its timed-text and localisation platform.

The company will demonstrate the updated platform at Stand 8.A88 during IBC2026, which takes place from 11 to 14 September at the RAI in Amsterdam.

SubtitleNEXT is designed to manage subtitles and audio description and is used by broadcasters, media organisations, localisation companies and educational institutions, including ARTE Television, Proximus Media House, Euro Media Group, Polsat, Bulgarian National Television, IT Pros Italy, Digitalmeister, Leinhäuser Language Services, the University of Warsaw, Ghent University and KU Leuven University.

A key development for IBC2026 is expanded AI transcription integration, with support for additional speech-to-text services including AssemblyAI, Deepgram, ElevenLabs and Whisper.

The integrations are intended to give users greater flexibility when selecting transcription services according to factors such as language coverage, accuracy, turnaround times and deployment requirements.

SubtitleNEXT has also added support for IMSCR import and export, enabling integration with IMS common script formats and supporting localisation and production workflows.

The platform now includes HiDPI support, providing improved interface scaling and rendering for high-resolution displays and a more consistent experience across modern workstations.

Another addition is the Movie File Burn Expert Plugin, which provides advanced subtitle burn-in capabilities for video files. The plugin also supports video conversion to multiple formats and resolutions.

Batch Processing has been further enhanced with subtitle burn-in support for batch operations, alongside new duplicate and delete functions intended to simplify batch management.

The Batch Subtitle Conversion feature has also been expanded, giving users more options for selecting timecode conversion methods and configuring timecode offset handling during batch subtitle conversion.

Further workflow customisation has been introduced through configurable and reorderable columns, allowing users to adjust workspace layouts according to individual project requirements.

SubtitleNEXT will also demonstrate expanded Teletext Validation capabilities, including wider teletext checks and related tools aimed at broadcasters.

The collection of updates forms part of Profuz Digital's ongoing development of SubtitleNEXT, with the company positioning the latest release around greater automation, flexibility and efficiency for professional localisation workflows.
