TNS MediaMarket Becomes Kantar Media

One of the world's largest insight, information and consultancy networks, has announced that the media assets of TNS, KMR Group and BMRB Media will combine to form Kantar Media.
Its Dublin and Belfast based media intelligence operation, TNS MediaMarket will form a key part of its international network and will be headed up by the newly appointed Managing Director, Dan Halliwell.

The newly branded Kantar Media offers a full range of insights, media monitoring and evaluation, analysis software and audience measurement services for all media platforms. The change has been made effective immediately.

 Under Kantar Media, the Irish business will now be part of a network that spans over 50 countries.
Jean-Michel Portier, Chief Executive Officer of Kantar Media commented: "The evolution to Kantar Media enables us to offer integrated media audience measurement, consumer understanding, competitive intelligence, and behavioural analytics at every step in the communications cycle. In doing so, we help our clients to master the momentum of media."

Former Commercial Director, Dan Halliwell, takes up the role of Managing Director of Kantar Media Ireland and former TNS MediaMarket Managing Director, Michael Farrelly will assume the position of Executive Chairman of the Irish operation.
Providing press, broadcast and internet monitoring as well as media analysis and sponsorship evaluation services, it is the largest provider of media intelligence services in Ireland. 

Halliwell commented: "The formation of Kantar Media is an exciting step for the Irish operation. We have been the leading force in media intelligence in the Irish market. Clients have already experienced the benefits of us being part of a strong global network under TNS and the formation of Kantar Media only goes to enhance this position. We have the opportunity to extend our product offering and further enhance the insight that we provide to our clients in the Irish market."

To mark the rebranding, Kantar Media Ireland will be a key sponsor of the PRII annual conference, SustainAbility, on 16th April 2010 at the Westbury Hotel, Dublin.
