Media Utilities Transitions To Media Utilities, A DigiNet Brand
Media Utilities is integrating its activities into DigiNet and will maintain a recognisable presence in the market under the name: Media Utilities, a DigiNet brand.
With this step, DigiNet strengthens its position in the Dutch broadcast and radio market.
Media Utilities has been closely associated with DHD Audio in the Netherlands for 25 years and has built a strong reputation during that period as a specialist in broadcast audio, radio studios, and professional audio solutions. Activities surrounding Yellowtec for the Netherlands and Belgium will also be continued within the new structure.
For customers, changes are primarily for the better behind the scenes. Media Utilities' trusted expertise and personal approach will be retained, while DigiNet adds extra support in the areas of project management, logistics, installation, service, and support. Daniël Geertsema will remain involved with customers, suppliers, and ongoing projects.
"Media Utilities has always been built on specialist knowledge, personal contact, and long-term relationships with customers and suppliers," said Daniël Geertsema of Media Utilities. "After 25 years of DHD Audio in the Netherlands, this feels like a logical next step. By integrating Media Utilities into DigiNet, we safeguard continuity for customers and can further strengthen installation, service, and support alongside deliveries. This applies to DHD Audio in the Netherlands, but certainly also to Yellowtec in the Netherlands and Belgium. The integration also aligns well with the development of modern radio and podcast studios, where audio, video, and advanced podcast solutions are increasingly converging."
DigiNet also clearly sees this development reflected in the market. Radio has long ceased to be exclusively audio. Studios are increasingly evolving into content environments where live radio, visual radio, podcasting, streaming, social clips, and online distribution converge. Consequently, the need is growing for partners who understand audio, video, IT, and workflow in conjunction.
"From my own background in radio, I know how important reliable audio engineering, workflow, and continuity are in a studio environment," says Niels Mos, Division Manager at DigiNet. "In this context, DHD Audio is much more than a mixing console or audio core; it often forms an essential part of the total radio workflow. At the same time, radio is becoming increasingly visual and digital. Today, studios must not only sound good but also fit within video, online distribution, and modern content workflows. It is precisely at this intersection that DigiNet has built up extensive experience over the past few years."
Mos continued: "By combining Media Utilities’ broadcast audio expertise with DigiNet’s experience in broadcast, video, IT, and workflow, we can better support customers with the next generation of radio and podcast environments." In the coming period, customers and business partners will be personally informed about the further details."
During IBC 2026, Daniël Geertsema and DigiNet will be jointly available for discussions with customers and partners regarding DHD Audio, Yellowtec, and future broadcast audio projects.
