Astro And ANGKASA Team Up

Astro and Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (ANGKASA) have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand opportunities across Malaysia's co-operative ecosystem, pairing Astro's content, media and digital capabilities with ANGKASA’s extensive nationwide network.

Under the collaboration, ANGKASA’s 7.2 million members will gain access to exclusive subscription packages and promotions for premium entertainment, sport, educational and family content, along with tailored rewards, member-only privileges and engagement programmes.

The tie-up also enables co-operatives within ANGKASA, as well as SMEs, to tap Astro’s advertising, marketing and digital solutions to strengthen brand visibility, reach wider audiences and drive business growth.

Tai Kam Leong, Chief Commercial Officer, Astro, said: "This partnership is about creating opportunities and enriching lives across the cooperative ecosystem. Together with ANGKASA, we are proud to bring quality entertainment and educational content, support students and schools with enriching learning resources, and help cooperatives and SMEs grow through Astro's advertising capabilities. By working together closely, we hope to create long-term value for all stakeholders and contribute to more vibrant and resilient communities across Malaysia."

A central pillar of the agreement is education, with plans to extend Astro’s learning content across about 2,000 Koperasi Sekolah nationwide. The partners aim to enrich learning opportunities, support student development and inspire lifelong learning among young Malaysians.

Beyond education, both organisations will explore broader community initiatives to deepen member engagement and create lasting social and economic value for co-operatives and the communities they serve.
