DMC Production Norway Selects Net Insight Technology

DMC Production Norway has selected Net Insight’s Open Live Media solution to centralize production of Blinkfestivalen 2026, with the technology enabling a complex 17-camera production to be managed remotely.

The deployment combines Net Insight’s Nimbra 520, Nimbra Edge and Nimbra Live Intelligence platforms. The setup is designed to reduce on-site resources and production costs while maintaining the video quality and operational control required to deliver the event to Norway’s national broadcaster, NRK.

At the centre of the workflow is the compact Nimbra 520 platform, which provides HEVC 4:2:2 encoding for multiple live camera feeds. Nimbra Edge and Nimbra Live Intelligence provide centralized orchestration, real-time service visibility and operational assurance across an Internet- and cloud-enabled infrastructure.

The technology will allow DMC Production Norway to centralize more of the production workflow while reducing the need for extensive resources at the event locations.

The deployment is also intended to demonstrate the potential of software-driven workflows for large-scale live content production, combining encoding, orchestration and service intelligence within a single operational model.

Blinkfestivalen takes place from August 5–8 and brings together elite cross-country skiing and biathlon competitions across several locations. The event provides the setting for DMC Production Norway’s centralized production operation for NRK.

Net Insight will also showcase its technology at IBC, where the company will exhibit at booth 1.B47.
