The Media Production Show 2018 (MPS) is to host a Production Services Village for the first time.

The Production Services Village will bring a variety of new companies to the show, offering international production services for producers and the wider production community. Among those already confirmed in this zone are 3 Mills Studios, BTS (Behind the Scenes), Lidar Lounge, Latina and Syncbox VR.

Three new content theatres have also been revealed that will showcase Live Production, Audio and Digital Disrupters.

The show, in London's Olympia on 12-13 June, also welcomes world-leading experts speaking across a variety of topics, as well as some exciting new exhibitors joining the numerous returning companies.

"For the first time ever at a UK show, we're excited to deliver a real hands-on experience of the latest technology that delivers a live production experience, while industry leading speakers in our new Digital Disrupters Theatre will examine the colliding worlds of SVOD, VR, AR and other disruptive technologies. Added to these are the new Audio Zone and Theatre, plus the international Production Services Village, as well as some old favourites and a few more surprises in store," said Charlotte Wheeler, Event Director.
Visitors to the new Live Production Theatre at MPS will gain a true sense of the live environment and find a place to experiment and gain expertise in the technology available today. Sponsored by Blackmagic Design, who will be showcasing their latest range of URSA Broadcast cameras, this new feature at the show will be a major attraction for 2018.
The Digital Disrupters Theatre will explore the changing worlds of content delivery and consumption through disruption and technology. From the converging worlds of SVOD, new content generators, VR, AR and YouTube, speakers including Sebastian Cardwell, Commissioning Executive & Channel Manager of Channel 5 and Matt Stagg, Director of Mobile Strategy for BT Sport will discuss, debate and demonstrate the latest work from digital content creators and those using new technologies and deliverables in an increasingly digital world.
A new Audio Zone and Theatre, in partnership with Resolution Magazine, will also feature on the show floor for the first time, with a dedicated theatre covering topics including ADR, sound on location, sound in post, technical seminars and audio case studies from recent film and TV projects. Visitors can look forward to speakers discussing AoIP and immersive audio as well as using the specialised demo pods, which are new for 2018.
MPS also welcomes industry experts with a broad range of experience to the Keynote Theatre, including 'Peaky Blinders' Director David Caffrey and DoP Cathal Walters, production expert Philip Bloom, Polly Hill, Head of Drama at ITV and Walter Luzzolino, creator of 'Walter Presents'.
