Net Insight Enables Cloud-Connected Live Production With Nimbra 520

Net Insight has announced that a multinational technology company is rolling out a Nimbra Edge contribution network for remote production, pairing Nimbra 520 at the edge with Nimbra Edge in the cloud to support live internal events, panel discussions and product launches.

The setup allows live content captured on‑premises to be sent into a cloud production environment and then distributed to corporate sites worldwide. By combining high‑density edge processing with cloud‑based orchestration, the customer gains a more flexible and scalable live production model than its previous system.

At each location, Nimbra 520 handles on‑premises media processing, supporting up to 8 x FHD HEVC 4:2:2 compression. Feeds are then transported via Nimbra Edge, hosted in the cloud, enabling flexible routing, centralised control and dependable delivery into the company's cloud production workflows. An initial, smaller order was received and delivered in Q2 2026.

For the customer, the solution provides a more efficient way to scale internal live production across regions, venues and event formats, while reducing day‑to‑day operational complexity.

Nimbra 520 is built for predictable live media over managed and unmanaged networks. With multi‑channel HEVC/AVC processing, professional broadcast quality, 10‑bit video support and low‑latency operation, it enables customers to expand contribution and distribution capacity with improved bandwidth efficiency. In combination with Nimbra Edge, it delivers centralised orchestration, flexible cloud workflows and a simplified per‑stream operating model.
