UKTV Names Matt Berry General Manager For Marketing
UKTV has appointed Matt Berry to the newly created role of General Manager – Marketing, effective 1 July 2026.
Berry steps into the senior post at a key stage in UKTV's growth, taking charge of the broadcaster’s overall brand strategy as well as channel and programme marketing, with the objective of increasing viewership and strengthening commercial performance across its services.
Reporting to Chief Marketing & AI Officer Penny Brough and serving as her deputy, Berry will help define how UKTV’s brands present themselves and build deeper connections with audiences amid a rapidly evolving and highly competitive media market.
He brings more than two decades of experience across media, entertainment and consumer sectors, with senior roles at Channel 4, News UK and British Airways, alongside earlier positions in leading creative agencies. At Channel 4, he was instrumental in campaigns for major titles including The Great British Bake Off, It’s A Sin and Ackley Bridge, and led a high-profile brand transformation unifying the broadcaster’s linear, streaming and digital experiences under a single, modern identity.
