Mary Berry To Return To BBC One With New Cooking Series

Mary Berry is returning to BBC One with a brand new cooking series, 'Mary Berry's Quick Cooking'.

The show, currently in production, will consist of six half hour episodes and is expected to be broadcast in 2019.

It follows Mary Berry as she explores some of the most exciting places that have mastered or inspired the very best of speedy cooking. Along with her travels, she will cook some of her own quick recipes in places like Rome, the West End of London and Camp Bestival.

She said: "Being in a rush will never be a problem again. If you're in a hurry and don't want to spend hours in the kitchen I can show you a world of delicious, quick dishes to tempt any taste buds."

'Mary Berry's Quick Cooking' was commissioned from Sidney Street, part of Endemol Shine UK, by Charlotte Moore, Controller, BBC One and David Brindley, BBC Head of Commissioning, Popular Factual and Factual Entertainment.

David Brindley added: "We couldn't be more delighted to be welcoming Mary back to BBC One with this exciting new series. Everyone wants to know how to make the most delicious food in the shortest possible time, and who better to show us than the doyenne of home cooking. This series promises some unforgettable moments - Mary venturing to Rome, Marrakesh, and of course, ending up on stage with Rick Astley as his drummer after cooking up a storm at a music festival."

'Mary Berry's Quick Cooking' follows her previous four series also produced by Sidney Street: 'Mary Berry's Absolute Favourites', 'Mary Berry's Foolproof Cooking', 'Mary Berry Everyday' and 'Classic Mary Berry'.

Karen Ross serves as Executive Producer alongside Mark Ball as Series Producer, Dave Crerar as Series Director and Alice Binks as Event Producer.
