Skillset Funds Movie Marketing Online
Skillset is to fund Marketing Movies Online, a major new event and programme of training and support for UK independent film companies, providing participants with the insights, knowledge, networks and support to become better users and buyers of digital marketing.
The programme will be delivered by Diversity in Visual Arts (DiVA) and MTM London, who today announce a call for companies to register their attendance.
Marketing Movies Online is structured around four main components: a digital marketing conference, taking place at NESTA on 29th September, that will bring independent film companies face-to-face with leading digital marketing experts who will deliver a series of master-classes, presentations and case-studies exploring all aspects of digital marketing for film; a major networking event at the close of the conference, giving film companies the opportunity to meet and network with a wide range of online media owners, digital marketing agencies and other potential partners; a specially prepared 'how to' manual, synthesising a wide range of best practice material, practical tips, guides, and market information; a selection of film businesses will also receive tailored, bespoke, one-to-one support provided by a team of experienced digital marketing professionals with a deep understanding of the film industry and online media, who are on hand to support the development of individual digital marketing strategies.
Marketing Movies Online is sponsored by LOVEFiLM and NESTA, and receives support from the Skillset Film Skills Fund, supported by the National Lottery through the UK Film Council and the film industry through the Skills Investment Fund (SIF).
