Gravity Media Brings Specialist Cameras Back To Royal Ascot

Gravity Media's Specialist Cameras team returned to Royal Ascot this year, delivering on-course coverage with a mix of wirecam systems and custom tracking vehicles fitted with two gyro‑stabilised gimbals to follow both horses and spectators around the racecourse.

Working across all five days, the crew captured the build-up, atmosphere and key racing moments from unique vantage points, supplying the wider broadcast with dynamic visuals.

An overhead wirecam was installed above the Parade Ring to film horses, trainers and crowds ahead of each race, while a second 600‑metre wirecam stretched along the track to follow the action down the final straight, keeping the iconic Ascot grandstands in frame to the finish.

On the ground, a purpose-built tracking vehicle equipped with two stabilised camera mounts ran alongside the field to pick out pivotal stages as each race developed.
