Further Award Wins For Trilogy

Trilogy Communications has shared in two more award wins for the VRT-EBU LiveIP Studio Project, it has been revealed.

Belgian Broadcaster VRT and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) announced that the VRT-EBU LiveIP Studio Project secured two TVB Awards last month. The awards are the latest recognition of the project's success and follow three other wins over the past year.

At last month's event, which was held in London, the multi-vendor IP production studio project won the TVB Award for Live Broadcast Production, and also received the Innovation and R&D award for Outstanding Technical Achievement in the category 'Hall of Fame'.

John Sparrow, Product Sales Manager, Trilogy, said: "Trilogy provided the intercom backbone and IP panels for this IP studio, and we are very proud of the achievements that have been made by the team in proving that a Live IP studio is not a concept, it is a viable option. Driven by the VRT Sandbox incubator program and the EBU, and powered by a list of partners, the LiveIP project has developed a fully functional IP production studio. Using existing open standards SMPTE 2022-6, AES67/RAVENNA, PTP and OpenFlow, the initiative demonstrates a high level of interoperability and leverages the benefits of IP to create efficiencies such as remote production and automation.
