JP-News Adopts AEQ CAPITOL IP Virtual Console For Foz Do Iguaçu Studio
JP-News, the news arm of Brazil's Jovem Pan Group, has overhauled its main studio in Foz do Iguaçu by installing an AEQ CAPITOL IP digital audio console controlled via the VirtualCAPITOL software. The setup eliminates a traditional physical surface, allowing complete console operation from a regular desktop.
Founded in 1944, Jovem Pan is among Brazil's leading media groups. It operates a network of about 100 owned and affiliated radio stations and produces music, news, sport and television content, making it one of the country's most influential broadcasters.
The studio refurbishment encompassed new broadcast equipment alongside updated furniture and IT infrastructure. At its core is the AEQ CAPITOL IP, a fixed-configuration console geared to radio production environments that prioritise reliability, flexibility and intuitive operation.
CAPITOL IP incorporates an integrated IP audio engine and wide-ranging analogue, digital and AoIP connectivity, suiting both conventional facilities and next-generation IP-based systems. Its durable build and ease of use have driven strong adoption by radio broadcasters worldwide.
A defining element of the project is the use of VirtualCAPITOL as the control interface. In place of physical faders, operators manage every function through PC software, preserving the full capabilities of CAPITOL IP while enabling a more adaptable studio layout.
With the upgrade, JP-News has modernised its production workflow, combining the dependability of AEQ CAPITOL IP with the flexibility of fully virtual operation to support evolving broadcast needs.
