Leader LV58SER03 composite video unit for the LV5800 modular multistandard waveform monitor. Fully compatible with PAL and NTSC, the LV58SER03 composite video unit has two 75 ohm BNC inputs plus a loopthrough BNC output displaying the selected channel. When integrated into the LV5800, the module can be used to display waveform, vector, picture and relative phase. In phase-display mode, the composite input is compared to the vertical and horizontal sync of an external reference and shown numerically as well as graphically for easy sync phase management. Luminance can be isolated and displayed using a low-pass filter. Amplitude and time parameters can be measured to very high accuracy using adjustable cursors. When used in combination with with the LV58SER01A SDI input, the new module enables composite and SDI signals to be measured on a single instrument. Up to four modules can be housed in the LV5800, allowing users to configure the instrument to meet their specific requirements. This latest addition bring the number of modules currently available for the LV5800 to five.
A powerful and highly innovative option for Leader's LV5700A, LV5750 and LV5800 multi-format monitors, CINELITE enables television content producers to determine precise camera exposure settings by detecting actual signal levels rather than merely displaying local light intensity, enabling a camera's full dynamic range to be used. Camrra parameters can then be adjusted to achieve a high-contrast 'film look' if required in preference to the softer luminance gradient traditionally associated with television. The camera output is monitored on the test instrument's 1024 x 768 pixel TFT LCD screen. Hairline cursors can then be used to select the brightest and darkest points in the scene. At the press of a button, CINELITE shows the optimal exposure setting as an f-stop or a percentage value. The camera can then be adjusted for optimal exposure, reducing or eliminating the time needed to correct colour balance, gamma and contrast during post-production. When incorporated into the recently-announced Leader LV5800, four different points of interest on a live feed can be monitored simultaneously.
