ITN wins IBC Content Delivery Award for NeMeSys

ITN's technology team has been awarded with the prestigious Content Delivery award at this year's IBC Innovation Awards for developing the New Media System (NeMeSys).
The IBC Innovation Awards celebrate excellence in the creation of complete technical and operational solutions in the broadcasting arena.
ITN’s technology team developed NeMeSys to ensure both smooth and fast delivery of nearly 200 video clips to its mobile, broadband, IPTV and commercial archive footage clients on a daily basis.
ITN’s multimedia division ITN On currently produces news and entertainment clips in a variety of formats for its customers including Vodafone, 3, T-Mobile, MSN, Yahoo, The Mirror and the Telegraph Media Group.
NeMeSys allows the journalists to concentrate on producing compelling content and ensure easy delivery to clients.
Ian Auger, Head of IT and Communications said: "ITN has built a reputation of pioneering new technologies over its 52 year history. It’s always great to get recognition for the technology behind the media products we deliver. It’s been a challenge to get to where we are with NeMeSys today and there is still more to come as the system continues to evolve and adapt to our constantly changing business requirements."
For ITN Source, ITN’s commercial archive business, the NeMeSys technology has been utilised and specifically adapted to offer its professional customer base unrivalled high speed digital delivery.
NeMeSys also enables ITN Source to deliver video content to the business’s online syndication partners, including YouTube and Mochila, and supports the advanced e-commerce functionality available through ITNSource.com.
With no suitable product on the market ITN developed NemeSyS, an easily expandable and user friendly platform for journalists to deliver content to its clients. NeMeSys has allowed ITN to create new services on demand and meet the ever changing demands of the fast moving online and mobile marketplace.
