TV2 select Network Electronics for digital video project
TV2 Nord have become the first European station to launch interactive digital video broadcasting, and Network Electronics' routers have been selected to facilitate signal switching for the historic project.
The announcement was made by Michael Ambye, CEO of Network Electronics Denmark.
Future plans include making the Internet and e-mail available through television.
TV2 Nord-Digital installed a significant complement of Network Electronics' VikinX routers including SDI Routers, Analogue Audio Routers, AES/EBU Routers and RS-422 Routers. The routers are being controlled with X-Y control panels and the Network THOR Management Software for Switching, Configuration and Salvo Scheduler.
TV2, established in 1988 and comprised of eight regions, are Denmark's second public service television channel.
