Nepal Television choose Network Electronics' router system

Nepal Television (NTV), the national station located in Katmandu, have selected a sophisticated Network Electronics' VikinX router system as part of their upgrade to a fully component infrastructure.
The purchase, comprised of significant complement of VikinX routers of varied configurations, was announced by Roger Tam, Sales Manager of Network Electronics, China.
An increase in demand for better quality video and audio content triggered NTV's decision to upgrade to component. The upgrade will include all facilities, including the studio, master control room (MCR), dubbing and play-out areas, and outside broadcasting equipment including cameras, switchers and VTRs.
The project is a result of a joint effort of system designer Broadcast Technology Limited of Hong Kong and systems integrator Sanitec Limited of Beijing.
The routers were installed in NTV's studio, MCR and play-out facilities. Network Electronics' VikinX VA3232, a 32 x 32 Analogue Video/Audio Router, comprise the heart of NTV's master control system. In addition, a range of small analogue routers (primarily 16x2) are used in various studio and broadcasting facilities.
The VikinX router system was chosen for it ability to accomplish the demanding tasks in studio, broadcast and play-out applications.
