Argosy Broadens Product Portfolio With Miranda NVISION Compact Routers At IBC 2009
Argosy, a leading international supplier of high-definition broadcast, cables and studio infrastructure products, has announced that it has expanded its product portfolio to include Miranda’s NVISION Compact routers.
These slim-line, light weight, and highly robust routers will be available from Argosy with immediate effect — and were exhibited at IBC.
Ideally suited to utility routing applications where space is at a premium, the NVISION Compact routers are available in a comprehensive array of formats, including 3Gb/s, HD, SD, AES, analogue video and analogue audio, as well as machine control.
The NVISION Compact routers are available in sizes from 16x4 up to 32x32, and are housed in 1RU or 2RU frames for maximum space efficiency. Multiple control options include Ethernet or serial control, local button panels, and remote hard or soft panels. Easy to use configuration software is supplied as standard to simplify key tasks like salvos and partitioning, as well as integration with other Miranda NVISION and third party routing systems.
"Miranda’s NVISION Compact routers represent a robust, highly affordable and space efficient routing solution for broadcasters as they migrate to HD and 3Gb/s," said Alan Henry, UK Sales Director at Miranda.
"We are delighted to add such a highly-respected brand as Miranda’s NVISION routers to our line up of infrastructure products," said Mike Purnell, director, Argosy. "Routers and monitoring products are an integral part of the build out of high-definition infrastructure and with these advanced routing systems we are better placed to provide a more complete solution to broadcasters as they transition to high-definition — particularly those in small studio, post production and mobile applications where rack space is at a premium."
