BIG BROTHER HEARS EVERYTHING WITH CINEVIDEO
BROADCAST equipment hire company Cinevideo helped Big Brother keep tabs on the ten contestants taking part in Channel 4’s TV series by supplying the multichannel radio microphone system used during the making of the show.
Throughout the programme’s ten week run, DPA Microphone 4060 capsules, supplied by DPA’s UK distributor Sound Network, became quite a talking point particularly when contestants left them too close to the edge of the Jacuzzi or got them covered in mud during training for the assault course.
Robert Miles, Cinevideo’s Head of Audio said: “DPA 4060 capsules are increasingly being used with the Sennheiser radio microphone system because they are small and of very high quality. Their ability to withstand rough treatment was particularly important on the Big Brother project because they were being used by untrained people who had no previous experience of handling mikes.”
Cinevideo has been asked to supply another multichannel radio microphone system for ‘Jailbreak’, the latest new contestant-orientated TV show that is currently airing on Channel 5.
