Audio-Technica to exhibit broadcast microphone and wireless microphone portfolio at IBC

Audio-Technica’s shotgun microphones, to be showcased at IBC 2004, set the benchmark for broadcast sound applications, whether for relaying trackside audio for major international sporting events, camera mounted action filming, news gathering, or intimate reality television sound recording.
The new AT897 Short Shotgun microphone develops still further the range of industry leading shotguns with a compact Line + Gradient condenser microphone just 11 inches long; sufficient to stay well out of frame on wide shot when camera mounted. Also exceptionally light – 145 g – the AT897 is designed to capture high quality field audio in the most demanding situations. The capsule provides excellent off-axis response while its line + gradient polar pattern ensures exceptional signal rejection from the side and rear. Operation is either on phantom power or internal battery and there is integral low frequency roll-off switch. A foam windscreen and stand adaptor are included and the unit is competitively priced.
