MotionFX completes major VFX work on Roman Polanski's ‘Oliver Twist’

London-based boutique digital film post-production facility – has recently performed extensive VFX work on Roman Polanski's new film 'Oliver Twist'.
A film with very demanding creative and technological requirements, with the production operation based in Paris, and VFX work performed by MotionFX in London.
“MotionFX were approached early on by Oliver Twist's production team to manage the large VFX undertaking of a period feature film,” said John
O'Quigley, CEO for MotionFX. “To have been given this chance was an amazing opportunity for MotionFX.”
To meet the increased level of VFX demands, MotionFX upgraded most of its network and server infrastructure, adding more powerful processors, graphics cards and rendering capabilities. The creative team assessed various additional 2D VFX systems, finally settling on Eyeon's Digital Fusion (now called Fusion 5) due to its remarkable artist based VFX toolset, speed and interactivity.
The chance to perform the VFX work on Roman Polanski's 'Oliver Twist' came in the wake of DI and VFX work performed on the 35mm Wesley Snipe's feature 'Chaos', and scene-to-screen Digital Cinematography, DI, and VFX work performed on 'Silence Becomes You'.
