LTN And Sony Integrate Cloud Media With Linear Playout

LTN and Sony have unveiled an integration that brings cloud media management directly into linear playout, aiming to help broadcasters and content owners get content to air faster with fewer manual steps.

Sony has linked its Ci Media Cloud with LTN Schedule Playout, enabling channel creators to browse, preview, and use assets from their Ci libraries within the playout interface.

File assets and live stream recordings automatically flow back into Ci, establishing a two-way workflow intended to simplify content handling and reduce operational complexity.

Rick Young, SVP, Global Products, LTN, said media companies need technology that works together without adding another layer of operational complexity. He stated: “By integrating Ci directly with LTN Schedule Playout, we’re connecting best-in-class cloud media management with proven real-time playout and automation capabilities. Customers can move content more efficiently between environments while maintaining the flexibility to build workflows around their specific operational needs.”

Joint customer Public Media Management (PMM) is already using the integration to combine cloud-based media management with real-time linear playout in live broadcast operations.
