TVC Completes Digital Signage Installation

TVC Technology Solutions has completed an integrated digital signage project at Future Leisure’s Royal Casino Slots venue in Northampton, combining commercial display installation with bespoke content creation and management.

The installation, located on Abington Street, features four 75-inch Philips 4K Ultra HD high-brightness displays positioned in portrait orientation across the venue’s window frontage. The screens are designed to attract attention from passing pedestrians while providing a flexible platform for in-venue promotions.

With a brightness rating of 3,000cd/m², the commercial displays are designed to remain visible in challenging daylight conditions. Integrated ambient light sensors automatically adjust screen output in response to changing conditions, while 24/7 operating capability supports continuous use.

TVC managed the display installation alongside creative development through its Digital Display Design Studio (DDD), ensuring the content was tailored to the screen specifications, orientations and viewing environments.

The DDD team developed a coordinated suite of Royal Casino Slots content based on the venue’s priorities, brand assets and calls to action. Window-facing displays use bold headlines, prominent imagery and restrained motion to communicate with pedestrians, while internal screens promote refreshments, gaming and sign-up offers, including calls to action incorporating QR codes.

A consistent black-and-gold visual identity runs across the content, helping maintain a unified presentation throughout the venue.

The installation uses WyreStorm HDMI distribution equipment, signal extenders and dedicated Cat6 cabling to connect the screen network. Custom B-Tech floor-to-ceiling double-pole mounts support the portrait displays without requiring a wall directly behind each screen.

Two MySign digital signage hardware and software packages provide playback and cloud-based content management. TVC and DDD collaborated to prepare artwork and motion assets for the displays’ target resolutions and orientations before uploading and scheduling content through MySign across the external and internal signage players.

By coordinating display specification, infrastructure, creative production and deployment, the project brings the technical and visual elements of the signage system together within a single delivery process.

The completed installation gives Royal Casino Slots the ability to update its messaging as promotions change while maintaining a consistent visual identity across the venue.

The project also demonstrates TVC’s approach of combining commercial AV engineering with specialist content creation, particularly in hospitality environments where screen visibility, viewing conditions and relevant messaging all contribute to the effectiveness of digital signage.
