VG Media Studio Installs Brompton LED Processing
VG Media Studio, a full-service marketing and production agency in Laichingen near Stuttgart, Germany, has introduced Brompton Technology LED processing as part of a purpose-built virtual production facility, expanding its capabilities from advertising work to long-form productions.
Virtual production was not part of the original blueprint, but conversations with LG about its LED technology and its ambition for an official reference studio in Europe prompted the team to explore how LED, processing and tracking could be combined into a high-performance environment.
The move was driven by a wish to widen creative options without compromising reliability and efficiency. As a full-service marketing agency, VG Media Studio routinely seeks alternative production approaches, from unusual camera perspectives to social-first concepts and distinct visual treatments.
This mindset shaped the LED studio’s design, prioritising technical performance and ease of operation. Brompton processing delivers the colour precision, camera flexibility and operational dependability required across the studio’s diverse workload.
The facility centres on an LG LED volume with Mo-Sys tracking and Brompton Tessera processing and is already supporting a broad range of external productions looking to tap into the studio’s virtual production infrastructure and expertise.
The LED installation spans more than 100 square metres of LG panels. Two 4K Tessera SX40 processors drive the wall, with a Tessera S8 powering the ceiling, and each SX40 is paired with two Tessera XD 10G data distribution units. The system currently runs at up to 60fps, with scope to reach 120fps via further configuration.
VG Media Studio operates two spaces on site: a main LED stage offering roughly 250 square metres in front of the wall, and a 70-square-metre studio that can function as a conventional film or photography space, enabling different production footprints under one roof.
Day-to-day operation is streamlined. Brompton’s integration with Stream Deck lets the team control the LED stage through a familiar interface, while its colour pipeline ensures precise, consistent results across different cameras.
Mo-Sys integration adds further flexibility. VG Media Studio can use Mo-Sys markers that are visible to the tracking system but hidden from the production camera, allowing tracking data to be displayed without affecting the image. Frame Remapping enables separate LED feeds for individual cameras in multi-camera shoots, and Custom Markers can present text, cues or other crew instructions without appearing in the final shot.
The studio has already hosted a range of work, including external commercial shoots, a short film with multiple settings, car commercials and a full movie production in July 2026. VG Media Studio’s wider client roster includes Adobe, Alb Gold, Bosch eBike Systems, Porsche AG, SONY, Swarovski, Tamron and Wieland-Werke, among others.
