Palmer Digital Group Selected As Burger King Outdoor Menu Board Supplier

Palmer Digital Group has been selected as an approved supplier of outdoor digital menu board systems for Burger King franchisees across the US and Canada, supporting the fast-food chain's drive-thru technology upgrades.

The full-service supplier and installer of indoor and outdoor digital kiosks, drive-thru digital menu boards and canopy systems will provide franchisees with single- and triple-panel outdoor digital menu board (ODMB) systems.

Installations are already underway, with the first sites opening in Wisconsin and around 18 orders placed to date. PDG expects approximately 30 Burger King locations to be operational by the end of the third quarter, rising to around 50 by the end of 2026.

"This partnership is another validation of what we've built over the last several years," said Chuck Lewis, President of Palmer Digital Group. "Being selected by one of the world's most recognized QSR brands reinforces our reputation for delivering reliable, innovative outdoor digital menu board solutions that are designed to last while making installation and long-term ownership easier for operators."

Burger King franchisees will be able to choose between professional installation by PDG's nationwide team or self-installation following training provided by the company.

The installation-friendly systems have been designed with franchise groups in mind, many of which have their own construction teams. The approach allows operators to have greater control over project schedules and costs while maintaining consistent installation standards.

"Our menu board systems were engineered with modularity and ease of installation in mind," Lewis said. "Some franchisees prefer to have our experienced installation crews manage the entire project, while others already have qualified teams in place. By supporting both approaches and providing comprehensive training, we're giving operators the flexibility to choose the model that works best for their business."

Self-installation training is led by Patrick Profitt, PDG’s Vice President of Project Management and Field Operations. Teams receive comprehensive online training covering the installation process to help ensure consistent deployments regardless of who carries out the work.

PDG also offers a range of additional deployment services, including site surveys, concrete foundations, conduit installation, high- and low-voltage electrical work, trenching, indoor display installation and ongoing break-fix support.

The Burger King systems will use LG 49-inch outdoor displays housed within PDG's modular outdoor digital menu board enclosures. The design allows individual components to be serviced or replaced without requiring the entire structure to be replaced, helping to reduce maintenance costs and total ownership costs over the product lifecycle.

The approved supplier agreement also gives PDG access to a significant potential market, with approximately 6,000 Burger King restaurants across the US and Canada eligible to purchase the systems through the programme.

The deal adds to PDG's growing presence in the QSR market, where the company provides outdoor digital menu boards alongside in-house manufacturing, engineering and installation services.

The company has recently expanded its installation resources and invested in technologies including Voice AI integration, as well as modular product designs aimed at supporting national restaurant brands.
