LGCY Series Caps Debut Season In Munich On ASB GlassFloor

The first season of THE LGCY SERIES wrapped up on 9 August at Munich's BMW Park, completing a three-leg tour that began in Berlin and continued in Braunschweig. All events sold out, underscoring the appeal of the new hybrid format that blends elite basketball with entertainment, music and culture.

At the centre of the production was the ASB GlassFloor, which turned the court into an interactive stage through dynamic LED graphics, visual effects and digitally embedded game elements. The system, which is permanently installed at BMW Park, integrated live content into the action and altered the playing surface to suit each event.

The competition introduced fresh rules and a high-tempo tournament structure designed to boost engagement. Features such as a 4-Point Zone and a Coaching Challenge added strategic twists and opened up new ways for fans to connect with the game.

As a fully digital platform, the ASB GlassFloor displayed animations, branding and in-game information in real time, making the floor an active part of the show rather than a static backdrop. Its flexibility allowed organisers to tailor visuals and data to each stop on the tour.

Sponsors also seized the opportunity for on-court activations. Brands including HBO Max, Toyota, Philips, adidas and Red Bull used the digital surface for integrated presentations, weaving commercial content seamlessly into the live experience.

On court, R17 x Der Stamm emerged as the first champions of THE LGCY SERIES. Led by THE LGCY President Dennis Schröder as team head, they secured the inaugural LGCY Championship rings.

From the Berlin launch through Braunschweig to the Munich finale, the series brought together athletes, creators and community, signalling a concept that deliberately positions basketball as more than a traditional game. For ASB GlassFloor, the tour showcased how digital playing surfaces can unlock new possibilities across sport, live entertainment and sponsorship — with the court serving both as the field of play and a central production canvas.
