Pyser-SGI Adds New Fujinon PL Mount - Fast, High Def Cine Zoom To Range

The exclusive UK/Ireland distributor for the Fujinon range of Studio, EFP, ENG, HDTV, Cine and INS lenses has now extended its product range with the introduction of the new Fujinon PL Mount Series of HD lenses. Pyser-SGI Limited, offers all round capability in the supply and service of equipment for the broadcast and professional video, and film markets.
The new lenses are designed to maximise the image capture capabilities of current and emerging digital cinematography and 35 mm film cameras.
Suitable for a range of cameras including Red, Arri and Sony, the four lenses in the series feature constant and fast T-stop performance and exceptional optical quality, with White Point within standards, and focal range choices from 14.5 to 400 mm.
Already available, the first Fujinon PL Mount lens to be introduced is the HK4.7x18F, with a T-number of 2.0 and focal length of 18-85 mm. The three other lenses in the series - to follow shortly - offer T-numbers and focal lengths of T2.0/14.5-45 mm; T2.6/24-180 mm; and T2.8-T4.0/75-400 mm (scheduled next as model HK5.3x75).
The uniform gear position and front barrel size of the lenses (136 mm) allows for quick lens changes. With minimal breathing, 280 degree focus barrel rotation, accurate and repeatable marks, and the comparable size and weights of the four models, plus consistent colour matched image quality over the four focal length ranges. The PL Mount Series lenses are ideal for efficient and creative productions for a wide range of applications including feature films, commercials, scripted TV, digital compositing and special effects production.
The new PL Mount Series is the latest in Fujinon’s growing family of high quality digital cine lenses that include the E Series Zoom and Prime lenses and C Series Zoom lenses for 2/3 inch B4 mount HD cameras.
