Hamlet Guarantees Quality For All With Low-Cost Test And Measurement

At NAB 2009, leading test and measurement specialist Hamlet launched a new entry-level instrument.
The new versions of the popular LCD Scope include extensive functionality and HD capability, offering a value proposition perfect for these times. The LCD Scope takes the familiar half rack width form factor but uses a high resolution TFT screen for high precision and minimum depth.
The new SDWVA version offers composite, component and SDI inputs for 525 and 625 and the new HDWVA adds all of today's high definition formats as well.
Functionality in the new instruments includes gamut violation displays and Hamlet's innovative HFT hands-free timing feature, designed to make timing of signals. To complete the toolset, the instruments can measure four analogue and four embedded digital audio channels with polar phase displays. The units are powered either by a 12V dc mains adaptor or from an internal battery pack for field operations.
Steve Nunney, Director of Hamlet, said: "Anyone working on television content today should be keenly aware of technical quality - you can be sure the audience is. We have a comprehensive range of intelligently priced, high precision test and measurement devices, but we know there is a part of the market where budgets are very tight indeed. They should not be deprived of an accurate waveform monitor, so we are introducing the new LCD Scope family for them."
