Compact Appointed As Digital Rights Group's Exclusive Worldwide Partner

Compact has announced that it has signed a deal with Digital Rights Group (DRG) to become the exclusive worldwide partner for representation of its secondary and tertiary rights.
Digital Rights Group encompasses brands Channel 4 International, Portman Film & Television, ID Distribution, Zeal Entertainment and i-Rights and Compact will collect all the associated film and television secondary rights from all brands across the Group. Compact previously solely represented the rights held by Channel 4 International and Portman Film & Television.
Compact will be collecting the rights for programmes distributed by DRG which include factual programming such as A Boy Called Alex and The Real Hustle, to comedy and gameshows like Peep Show and 15-1 as well as films including Anita and Me.
John O'Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer, Compact said: "Media consolidation and aggregation through a streamlined pro-active company is a smart move. We are extremely pleased to be appointed the exclusive worldwide partner for DRG's rights going forward and we are committed to continuing to pursue maximum returns for their considerable programming content broadcast across the globe."
Bernardus Vorster, Group Financial Controller, DRG, added: "DRG is extremely happy to work with Compact and has already seen good results from the C4i and Portman Film and Television catalogues."
In the last three years alone, Compact has collected more than £50 million on behalf of its clients.
The market leader in secondary and tertiary television rights administration has a proven track record of increasing revenue for broadcasters, distributors and production companies, including National Geographic, FremantleMedia Enterprises and ITV Global Entertainment.
