Kings League Agrees Media Rights Partnership With MBC GROUP

Kings League has agreed a major media rights partnership with MBC GROUP.

The deal will see free live coverage of the Kings Cup MENA, the first official competition of Kings League MENA, broadcast on the MBC ACTION television channel and streamed on the Shahid OTT platform.

The Kings Cup MENA will feature five thrilling days of matches, played in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, kicking off October 24th and running to the final on November 15th. It will showcase the revolutionary, creator-driven format of football that has made Kings League a global phenomenon.

Megastar YouTuber Aboflah was announced as the eighth Kings League MENA team president last week, joining other creator and streaming stars including SHoNgxBoNg and Drb7h from Saudi Arabia, Ilyas Elmaliki from Morocco, and Tarboun from Egypt.

The new media rights agreement builds on an existing strong relationship between Kings League and MBC. The broadcaster has previously shown coverage of Kings League's annual tournaments, the Kings World Cup Clubs and Kings World Cup Nations.

The latest agreement underlines the growing global appeal of the revolutionary seven-a-side league developed by football legend and entrepreneur Gerard Piqué.

Since kicking off in Spain in 2023, Kings League has expanded into six major territories – MENA is the seventh – and become a behemoth on social media and streaming. In 2024-25, Kings League recorded 9.5 billion social media impressions and 900 million live streaming video views. Kings League has also been broadcast on major television and streaming networks around the world – the grand finale of the 2024-25 season, the Kings World Cup Clubs, was broadcast in more than 120 territories.

Kings League MENA is a joint venture with SURJ Sports Investments, a PIF company that is driving investments aimed at elevating MENA's sporting ecosystem.
