Hear No Evil upgrade with 6.1 Genelec
Audio mixing studio Hear No Evil have purchased a complete 6.1 Genelec monitoring system, featuring 1037B monitors and a new 7071A LSE 6.1 Sub-woofer.
Co-owner and producer Steve Parr explained the decision, saying: "As I used the 6.1 to mix the Studio Voodoo DVD for DTS, I became very aware of how good it is. The centre-rear localisation makes a huge difference to the overall sound now there is an anchor at the back as well as the front. The new Genelec sub-woofer has a very clever bass management system that enables me to accurately monitor the entire audio bandwidth of every channel."
Last year more than 30 films and even more television projects were handled by the Hear No Evil, including the 'The Lost World' and the BBC drama series 'Cutting It'.
More recent projects include the DVD of the Sherlock Holmes classic 'The Hound of the Baskervilles', the BBC’s controversial new 'Tipping the Velvet' and the Hollywood sci-fi epic 'Reign of Fire'.
