Celebrity Footage Catalogue Acquired

FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has announced a deal which will see FremantleMedia Archives acquire a host of premium red carpet content from LA-based CelebrityFootage. The deal transfers exclusive representation rights of the 20-year-old, HD ready catalogue to FME across the UK and Ireland.
CelebrityFootage has long had premium placement at some of the most prestigious, internationally recognised awards ceremonies in the world including: The Academy Awards ('The Oscars'); The Golden Globes; The Grammy Awards and the MTV Movie Awards, The People's Choice Awards and many Los Angeles film premieres.
Its mature collection is often a major source of celebrity footage for news and entertainment programming around the globe.
Commenting on the deal, Gordon Craig, Head of Archive Sales at FME said: "We are delighted to have found an excellent partner in CelebrityFootage which will enable us to deliver high quality red carpet footage to the British Market.
"This marks the inception of FME's expansion into the areas of stock and TV footage and with this content; we couldn't have gotten off to a more promising start."
Michael Goldberg, President, CelebrityFootage said: "We are thrilled to be partnered with Gordon and his team. I am confident FME's well established brand and proven leadership will successfully increase our market share.
"CelebrityFootage looks forward to this promising new endeavour."
FremantleMedia Archives has one of the largest collections of television footage around the world.
The Thames Television archive, part of the FremantleMedia Archive, celebrates its fortieth anniversary this year.
