Footage.net Sponsors FOCAL International Awards
Stock footage search engine Footage.net is to be a Bronze Sponsor of the 2014 FOCAL International Awards in London on April 30 2014.
The FOCAL International Awards celebrate achievement in the use of footage in all variety of genres, across all media platforms.
Producers, filmmakers and other creative professionals who have used library footage in a documentary, feature film or any other form of production over the last year are encouraged to submit their work for consideration.
All awards will be presented the evening of April 30, 2014 at an award ceremony hosted by television historian Dan Snow at the Lancaster London Hotel.
The FOCAL International Awards also showcase the contribution made to the global production industry by archivists, film libraries, researchers and technicians, as well as the work done to restore and preserve the archives.
The final deadline for submissions is now one month away. Anyone wishing to be considered for an award in any of the 18 FOCAL International Awards categories must get their submissions in by December 1, 2013.
"We're very pleased to welcome Footage.net back as a Bronze Sponsor for this year's footage awards," said Anne Johnson, FOCAL's Commercial Manager.
"The support of companies like Footage.net helps us to both continue our work on behalf of the global archive industry and expand the footprint of the footage awards."
"We're honored to once again take part in the FOCAL International Awards as a Bronze Sponsor," said David Seevers, Footage.net Chief Marketing Officer.
"Anne Johnson, Julie Lewis and their team at FOCAL International have worked tirelessly for over a decade to build the FOCAL International Awards into a major annual event that recognizes the work of all stakeholders in the world of archives and archival production, including the producers and their achievements, the footage companies that make the content accessible and the archivists and preservationists who make sure it lasts."
Awards for restoration of the world's film and video archive heritage are also up for grabs, as are commendations for the skilled researchers, archivists, libraries and as always a Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Award categories are as follows:
The qualifying period is productions premiered in 2013 and entry is via the FOCAL website until the closing date December 1, 2013.
