Disney Channel Launches In Poland

Disney Channel, the leading kids TV brand, launches this Saturday (December 2) on Cyfrowy Polsat and CYFRA+ and for the first time will be available to over 1.3 million subscribers in Poland.
The channel will broadcast on CYFRA+ channel 44 and Cyfrowy Polsat channel 39 (and for a promotional time only on Channel 9) for 16 hours a day and will start broadcasting at 5pm with the television premiere of 'The Incredibles'.
Disney Channel, who signed a multi-year deal with CYFRA+ and Cyfrowy Polsat back in October, will celebrate the launch with a special Disney Channel themed event at Prymasowski Palace situated in the historic Old Town of Warsaw. The event will be attended by Polish celebrities and media culminating in a spectacular count down to the live launch of the channel.
Disney Channel Worldwide represents the most successful portfolio of kids’ channels in the world and reaches more than 600 million viewers in over 100 countries in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Latin America and Africa.
Disney Channel properties continue to rapidly expand into new markets across the world, playing a key role in introducing the Disney brand to new consumers.
Highlights of programming available in Poland for the first time on Disney Channel are:
  • 'That's So Raven', 'The Suite Life of Zack & Cody' and the brand new hit 'Hannah Montana'
  • Disney Channel Original Movies including the global phenomenon, double Emmy Award-winning 'High School Musical'
  • Contemporary animated series – hits including 'Kim Possible' and 'American Dragon: Jake Long'
  • Entertaining and learning-focused series for preschoolers: 'Mickey Mouse Clubhouse', 'Disney’s Little Einsteins' and, coming next year, the highly anticipated 'My Friends Tigger and Pooh'
  • Disney Feature films for the family such as 'Lady and the Tramp 2' and 'Tarzan'.
Disney Channel Poland will be localised for the market with dubbed programming, promos and interstitials.
