Network Electronics to showcase Router Management Control At IBC 2005

Network Electronics has announced plans to showcase upgrades to its widely embraced THOR Router Management System at IBC 2005 in Amsterdam.
The new release THOR 3.5.0 will simplify operations of the company’s powerful and popular control tool.
In addition, THOR has been re-designed into four editions each of which will target specific needs; from simple control of smaller routers with the THOR Basic Edition, to advanced management of multilevel routing systems with the THOR Premium and TieLine Editions. The THOR Basic Edition is provided at no cost to all VikinX router customers.
The THOR Editions have the following main features:
  • THOR Basic Edition; free THOR Edition with Matrix and Salvo router control. Supports up to 64x64 router sizes.
  • THOR Standard Edition; includes Basic Edition, Drag & Drop, Virtual Router Mapping and User Access Management. Supports up to 64x64 router sizes.
  • THOR Premium Edition; includes Standard Edition and LAN Multi User Interface. No router limitation.
  • THOR TieLine Edition; includes Premium Edition and TieLines Manager. No router limitation.
Major improvements on all editions include Matrix View graphical user interface will provide improved readability for larger routing switchers. Support for mnemonics has been added for router sizes up to 32x32. Icon and mnemonic information for the entire system will now be easily imported through text files.
Support for redundant SYSCON - the VikinX Modular system controller - configurations through independent Ethernet interfaces has also been added to the THOR 3.5.0, plus feedback routines have been upgraded as have system and set-up reporting and printing features.
Many new features will be seen in the THOR Tie-Line Manager, which makes operating large multi-level routing switcher applications easy and secure.
SYSCON, the VikinX Modular system controller has received a major update on error handling and system security with the 2.0 release.
Network is extending its successful line of modular routing switchers by adding more signal formats, and control and monitoring features. VikinX Modular is the world’s only routing system with Fully Redundant Internal Control Architecture and Full TCP/IP Interconnectivity. The new GYDA-128 makes the VikinX Modular system even more unique.
The VikinX Modular AES router AD128128M adds balanced digital audio to the signal formats already supported which include: SDI, HD-SDI, DVB-ASI and AES-3id (unbalanced digital audio) with its multi-rate/multi-format serial digital router product VD/HD128128M, and high performance analogue audio with the A128128M.
