Network Electronics to exhibit expanded product range at IBC 2003

Network Electronics will be exhibiting significantly expanded versions of its product ranges at IBC 2003.
After seven successful years manufacturing compact fixed routers from 16x2 to 64x64, and with over 70,000 units sold world wide, Network now launches a new modular router system that ranges from 32x32 to 128x128. The system is available in SDI or HD-SDI and supports data rates from 19.4Mbps to 540Mbps in the SDI version, and 19.4Mbps to 1485Mbps in the HD-SDI version. SD and HD can be mixed in the same frame and provides a fully hot-swappable architecture independent of signal formats.
Network Electronics will also display a 128x128 analogue audio router that complies with the toughest European standards for audio routers.
Network Electronics is also introducing an advanced range of THOR control panels featuring TCP/IP connectivity between routers and control panels that facilitates the use of a standard LAN. Based on three different control panels, the new concept allows an unlimited number of customized user surfaces to be created to target specific applications. The Software Configurable Keys (SCK) function allows the user to download comprehensive crosspoint operations under each key.
Network Electronics’ THOR Router Management System (THOR-RMS) provides an easy to operate graphical user interface that makes software configuration a simple task. Using the Expandable Panel Concept (EPC) panel interconnect function, customized combinations of the 3 different panels can be created resulting in unparalleled freedom of designing user surfaces. Panels that are interconnected via the EPC bus will logically appear as one panel on the VikinX.128 control bus.
