THE PRODUCTION Technology seminars at this year's Production Show conference will take an overview of the technological hot topics throughout the whole process chain for the production environment.
The sessions will take a view of the front-end issues and the opportunities and threats that contemporary technologies represent.

Developments in HDTV will take a futuristic step into the merits of production in this format and the hugely expanded choice of multi-platform outlets this will then present. The US and Australia have had HDTV production long established in their digital production policies, Soho are always next to follow suit. HDTV is presented as much more of a protection mechanism in today's industry to develop content's shelf life and possible distribution opportunities even if its primary use is for standard definition. MPEG-4 & MPEG-7 and Future Content Streams similarly will deliver a practical analysis of these new distribution standards fit in and how to prepare for the impact that they may have on the provision of content via satellite, digital distribution or DVD at the 'coal face' of production.
The Production Show will run from Tuesday 13th March to Thursday 15th March
