Robe launches ColorWash 250 AT moving light

Robe Show Lighting has launched its latest moving light, the ColorWash 250 AT.
The addition completes Robe's AT line of fixtures, which now offers moving heads in 1200W, 575W and 250W models, in both spot and wash versions.
Robe say that the ColorWash 250 AT creates a "new class of 250 fixtures" offering "incredible brightness for a 250 range unit, virtually silent operation, additional functionality from competitor products and Robe’s famous quality engineering and robustness".
ColorWash 250 AT is ideal for television, theatrical and architectural applications where quietness is vital. It is also perfect for clubs, discos, installations and scenic lighting of all types, where expedient sizing, reliability, and cool design top the agenda.
ColorWash 250 AT features a completely new optical system, making it 50% brighter than its predecessor, the Wash 250XT, and 30% brighter than its nearest competitor product. This makes it the brightest 250 product currently available on the market.
The extremely silent cooling system and movement make ColorWash 250 AT an ideal choice for TV and theatre. Even with the strobing function activated, the fixture’s operation is virtually inaudible.
Although ultra-quiet, the ColorWash 250 AT still creates ideal working conditions for the lamp, enhancing its longevity, thereby encouraging expedient energy efficiency and low maintenance.
A newly designed ultra smooth CMY colour mixing offers a fantastic range of colours. The CMY system also makes colour mixing ultra smooth, offering an immense full spectrum of hues and shades – from the richest saturates to the most delicate pastels. The colour wheel itself offers a new set of 6 new saturated colours and open. It uses Robe’s renowned slot-and-lock method for quick and easy replacement.
The motorized zoom effect ranges from 8 - 32° introducing a new level of flexibility and dynamics. A frost filter and a beam shaper are available on the effects wheel - both features that are not available on competitor products.
As with all other Robe AT moving heads, ColorWash 250 AT features full 16-bit resolution for seamless movement, colour wheel positioning and dimming.
The fixture’s physical aesthetics include streamlined size and elegant design, following in the footsteps of other products in Robe’s AT line. ColorWash 250 AT is sensibly and accessibly priced, offering incredibly value and functionality for money.
