Colour Management and Extension 2 Add To Autodesk Lustre Colour Grading

Lustre Colour Management, now included in Autodesk’s visual effects, editing and finishing, and colour grading solutions, ensures that everyone across the Autodesk Systems products pipeline is working with and approving images with the same colour values.
This feature is available in Autodesk Inferno, Autodesk Flame, Autodesk Fire, Autodesk Smoke, Autodesk Backdraft Conform, Autodesk Toxik and Autodesk Lustre.
The Lustre Colour Management feature provides an integrated, out-of-the-box solution built upon custom-built look up tables (LUTs) that perform two types of functions Image Preview and Colour Space Conversions.
Image Preview: Lustre Colour Management LUTs provide an accurate and consistent colour emulation, given the specific display device, of how a digital image will appear when printed to film. Colour Space Conversions: There is a proliferation of image input formats, each with their own colour space and Lustre Colour Management LUTs are used to bring these many input formats into a common frame of reference, so that they can be previewed and converted to the necessary output format.
Autodesk Lustre 2007 software is a high-performance GPU-accelerated colour grading solution for interactive grading and look creation designed to take on the short-form and long-form projects faced by colourists every day.
Offering an intuitive non-linear environment, unparalleled creative tools, and real-time performance, Lustre allows artists to deliver the highest quality imagery fast. With two extensions since the full release, Autodesk continues to build on Lustre’s GPU feature set.
Features released in Lustre 2007 extension 1 and 2 included: VTR emulation for playback control from another device via RS-422; numerous new GPU accelerated grading functions such as RGB curves, gamma, and shape softness; GPU-acceleration for all secondary layers; the ability to play out primary and secondary grades to video tape without rendering; enhancements to the Autodesk Control Surface.
For the latest view on Lustre, visit the Autodesk stand SL1420 at NAB 2007.
