Costa Nikols joins Gee Broadcast Systems

Gee Broadcast Systems Ltd, owner of Lightworks and manufacturer of the Geevs XT range of broadcast video servers, has announced that Costa Nikols is to join the company at the beginning of March.
Nikols will take on the new role of Product Development Manager, covering both product management and also business development, with the partners, OEMs, customers and other associates of both Gee Broadcast and Lightworks.
Managing Director Keith Gee said: "We are particularly delighted to have persuaded Costa to join us, in the face of no little competition for his services. His experience at Matrox, then Snell & Wilcox, and his deep understanding of the technology and industry, will allow us to build on recent growth.
"Snell & Wilcox's loss is very much our gain and we're looking forward to working with Costa on the growing range of applications for the successful marriage between the Geevs XT video server family and the Lightworks Touch edit system. Costa joins us at a key point in the development of new products and features for release later in 2005. "
Nikols will share his public debut for Gee Broadcast Systems with the Lightworks Touch edit system, which gets its first airing in North America at the NAB trade show in Las Vegas on April 18.
