GEE BROADCAST LAUNCH NEW BROADCAST SERVER

GEE Broadcast Systems, suppliers of the Broadcast Video market, have launched an eight-channel version of their GeeVS Broadcast Video Server.
The new version of GeeVS provides eight playout channels in a single unit only 4RU high. Material can be stored in MPEG2, DV25 or DV50 format either on internal storage of up to 365bytes or on storage attached via a GaSSS Fibre Channel SAN.
Material to be used on the eight channels can be captured from VTR, or transferred in over a network. Additionally material can be captured by other GeeVS servers on the same GaSSS SAN and is immediately available for playout on any of the eight channels while still being recorded.
Internal Play Lists or Sequences and remote control via a standard Ethernet network allow the eight channel GeeVS to be easily incorporated into a range of applications.
An eight channel GeeVS will be shown at the Production Show, London, in March working with an incite station and Matrox RT2000 system all using the same Fibre Channel Storage. (CD)
