DAVID Chidgey has joined 1410 Degrees, the creative digital media company, as Commercial Director.
Chidgey has been operating as a marketing consultant to production, post and film distribution companies since leaving London Post where he was marketing director in 1997.
He previously worked with the founders of 1410 Degrees, Robin Clarkson and Mark Tuffnell, whilst at Essential Pictures, and also worked with them as a consultant to 1410 Degrees, helping them to set the company up in 1999.
Chidgey said: “It’s a great opportunity for me to get back to the cut and thrust of life in Soho, something which I’ve missed over the last few years. Also, having played an important part in setting 1410 Degrees up, it will be great to help expedite the next stage of growth for the company.”
Robin Clarkson, Co-Founder of 1410 Degrees, said: “David was very involved in the initial philosophical concept of the company and has seen 1410 Degrees successfully grow from its early days. This opportunity for David to join 1410 Degrees full time will help provide the platform for the next stage in the development of the company.”
1410 Degrees were founded in 1999 and provide creative media solutions and services such as brand development and creative communications, production, design and post production, to a broad range of clients including blue chip companies, broadcasters and production companies.
Recent work includes a promo for film financiers Civilian Content; a children’s series for Pearson Education; interactive video programming for Blue Square Design; the annual sales conference DVD for Sanyo and a commercial for the fund management company Aberdeen.
